I have one
Regards,
Fred Collins
Have you put a straightedge up against the strut assy to verify that it's bent? Those are pretty strong and an impact that would bend one would also likely damage the unibody.
Even if nobody has a spare they can part with, perhaps someone has one off the car that you can borrow for a test fit?

So, Darrel and I have spent the last two days dealing with a problem on my car that has it immobile right now and I'm hoping that someone here would be able to help.
We were working on replacing my suspension and the front driver side is giving us a lot of problems. Basically the strut assembly had the strut canister stuck in it. We got that one out by drilling a hole in the bottom of the tube in the strut assembly and punching it out with a punch. But, when I tried to put the new one in it wouldn't go because apparently the tube was bent so the new canister wouldn't go in. So, I went to LKQ and got one off of another '72 240z only to find out that it too had the same damned problem.
So, if anyone has a front driver side strut assembly they are willing to sell, that would be wonderful.
