Someone get this 510. Mine is getting fun!

Subject: Re: [ZRoad] Selling my 1969 Datsun 510 too!
Nice article. Makes me wish I had the dedication to keep it right now. But, I don't and I hope that one of you guys will take it on. As least that way I will have faith that it'll be well cared for and loved!

Hey Matt.
Looks like a good project. When was the last time it was run?
I was ready to quit vintage raving but this has my attention.
Thx

Hello again! In addition to the Supra I'm getting rid of the 510. It's a project car though, not a driver.
A desire for simplicity, available time, and a mismatch between ambition and reality have left me with a 510 sitting in the garage just wasting away.. Time for it to go.
This is a four door 1969 510. I bought it in southern California near LA and before that it was an Arizona car. It was being prepped for SCCA or something like it. The seats were removed; they literally cut out the front passenger seat. They did an engine swap and build, some suspension work, etc. Since I've owned the car I drove it to the emissions spot for a VIN check using backroads and never broke 40'ish according to GPS on the phone. I took the back roads because road legality of the car was questionable at the time ; )
* It's an early '69 so it has some styling cues from the '68 -- the grill and light surrounds are different than late '69s. I feel like there's more but I cannot recall right now.
* Very little rust to be seen, no cancer. There's a hole in the passenger floorboard, some damage in the trunk area. Nothing major.
* The engine is an L20b, U95 block. I was told it's been bored over 1mm. The head is from a 1.3L for small combustion chambers to raise compression. It had the valve seats bored for the 2.0 liter valves to bring back flow. I was also told it was ported. I don't know the head casting number but can pull the valve cover to find out if desired.
* The intake manifold is a twin carb K14 (JDM market, never came on US cars). I was told this was ported. Twin flat top SUs. If I understand correctly they're not the infamous Z flat tops. All signs of smog equipment have been removed or plugged.
* Unilite distributor
* It has an electronic fuel pump but I have a mechanical one too.
* Has been converted to an electric radiator fan. This is common with the L20b swaps.
* Has headers and a straight through exhaust with muffler (honestly doesn't even sound like it has a muffler). The thing is loud.
* The car has been lowered. I do not know how much. I do not know the shocks or springs in use.
* I believe it has an upgraded front sway bar.
* Techno Toy Tuning tension control rods.
* 280ZX front struts -- pulls the front wheels inward when lowered.
* 5 speed dogleg transmission -- I think the early S13s had these
* Wilwood fixed caliper disc brakes front and back. Calipers are 4 piston up front and 2 piston in back. The brake master cylinder is I believe still the original and meant for drums in back (maybe front?) and thus should be changed out. There is a proportioning valve next to the driver's seat inside.
* 13" American Racing wheels. Not knock-offs; could use a good polish, missing one center cap.
* Dashboards: I have the year matching dash with gauge cluster and a '72 dash with gauge cluster. Both have glove box doors but not the actual box. The '69 dash top is a mess; large cracks. The '72 dash top is pretty decent; no cracks but has one spot the size of a silver dollar (if memory serves) where something fell on it and damaged the surface. The '72 dash should be able to get $350 or so by itself.
* Interior has been gutted. I have visors that I believe are from the right year.
* I have factory original windshield wipers, arms, motor and linkage.
* Door windows and rear window are all in great shape.
* The body has clean, no dents.
* Pictures!!<

I'm having trouble remembering anything else to mention at this point in time. I'm happy to answer questions, get more pictures, etc. It cannot be driven as it has no seats and no windshield. We should be able to get it started (i.e. hotwired -- no ignition wiring is connected). As such, trailering it out is the only option - I can assist if needed and distance depending.
As for price I'm going to start at $4,500 and see where that goes.
