The Mainframe Technical Services Business Unit supports all Acxiom outsourcing clients with mainframe support. The teams have established a 6-9 month rotation process where the associate will work directly with each of the nine teams within the business unit learning the various support requirements and performing tasks as directed by the team leader. The long term plan would be to assign more complex tasks as experience is gained
What you will do:
- Perform knowledge transfer and training with various teams that comprise the Mainframe Technical Services Business unit. These teams include: Automation, Capacity Planning, CICS, Database, Disaster Recovery, Hardware, Network, Operating System/ Third Party Software and Storage
- Perform software research to determine compatibility and end of support upgrade requirements
- Vendor software conversions, installs, replacements and upgrades
- Complete software upgrade validation, testing, and creating back out documentation using standard team processes
- Support capacity/CICS/database/storage management areas of customer and internal systems
- Provide 24 X 7 on-call support
- Participate in disaster recovery activities
What You Will Need:
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word) or MAC equivalent products
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Vendor or customer management skills
- Possess the drive, self-motivation and passion to learn new technology applications
- Decision making skills – know when to ask for guidance/help
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills

What Will Set You Apart:
- Experience using TSO, ISPF, ISMF and JCL
- Software product installation experience
- REXX/SAS programming experience
