After trying all different ways of connecting my laptop, I finally gave up.
Fortunately my friend Jie, who have been helping me testing the parser all this semester, let me use his laptop (also running Linux) and we have successfully connected to the projector in PM 253.
Looking forward for tomorrow's presentation.
