Curious, do you think the WebMentions functionality shown in the link below could be implemented in a module?


Are you aware of anyone (Arjan, etc) who might be willing to take on such a project? If so, feel free to contact me to discuss.

I am wondering how we can prevent abuse / spam for this kind of features?

Is there any docs on how people prevent spam?

Regarding Spam, I did find some docs in the spec.

Seems easy to automate spammy mentions though.
Wondering what people do above the methods mentioned in the specs.

For the rest, it looks like one or two days work, and an extension of the comment module.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely seems worth doing. However, you do bring up a good point, as usual. One proposal to handle Spam is Vouch: https://indieweb.org/Vouch

Other approaches to Spam are mentioned at 2.8: https://indieweb.org/Webmention-faq

Will do a little more looking and get some feedback from people currently using it.
