Hi there

I have been wondering for a while if Zotero deserves a group or page
in the most pop social network site, since it has also a twitter
account (also other FLOSS are there, eg Ubuntu). I have created one
group last year for my own institution, Goldsmith University of
London, and found that also other people from other institutions (not
many) joined in. The group did not generate the discussion I was
hoping for but certainly open up Zotero for few more people.

The group is called Zotero@Golds and the tiny link is: http://tiny.cc/bj5hb

Also on my blog I have been sharing Zotero materials and workshop
handouts for a while:

Best wishes

There is already an official Zotero FB profile that Debbie posts to:

there is one other unofficial group I believe, but there's not much
activity there.

Right, there are a few different Zotero spots on Facebook:

The official Zotero page, which I just transferred control to Debbie,
has a small but growing following:
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Zotero/118155314876217

There is this unofficial page, that when i was working at CHNM I tried
to find out who ran so I could make it the official one. It has 1300
some fans
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Zotero/34195288652

This is the auto generated page from the Wikipedia which has 600 fans
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Zotero/104076729629778

There is a Zotero Facebook group, from in the old days before there
were pages that has nearly 700 members
http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=6581895179

It might be a good idea to have a "Like us on facebook" widget on the
Zotero homepage. That would get a ton more people in there.
