Yesterday I filed a beta version of the Juris-M connector, built against current Zotero master, and it's been rejected:

'Your Google Chrome item, "Juris-M Connector Beta", with ID: cbjegfpgbdgpffebndeaojflenlndh
ob did not comply with our policies and was removed from the Google Chrome Web Store.'

Are there any steps I can take to get the code to clear with them, beyond sending email and hoping for the best? The Zotero connector is published through them, so hopefully there is a way to get this to my users?

Ugh, sorry to hear that. As far as I know we've never had any interaction or trouble with the Chrome Web Store.

Did you try to post this as Public or Unlisted? I wouldn't be surprised if they reject software labeled as "beta" that's posted as public.

The other possibility might be that it detected it as a duplicate of Zotero, but that seems less likely.

Yeah, it was nasty surprise.

The code was submitted as Unlisted. I sent them an email, I'm now
patiently awaiting a singing telegram.

I'll try resubmitting and see what happens. If they eventually
terminate my developer account as they threaten in their notice, there
is always developer-mode-for-everyone.

This was a nasty shock, but my email appeal to the Google reviewers was accepted, and the Chrome connector is now available as an Unlisted extension.

I've circulated the link to the Juris-M mailing lists, and will reroll the beta as the official release version at the end of the week.

Back on track at Juris-M Central.

I thought about the copy-of-zotero possibility also. Not sure what triggered the rejection, but Juris-M connector speaks to a different port (24119 instead of Zotero's 23119), so the two should not conflict. I do need to make another branding trawl through the core and the connector sometime, though, to be sure there is no confusion.
