How to set up the development environment for a Zotero plugin?

I have been trying to set up the development environment for a plugin using the tutorial in zotero-plugin-template. However, even after following the instructions provided, the plugin does not appear in the addon section. Is there an available and up-to-date tutorial on plugin development?

I've just managed to use this template. I know, this doesn't really help, but at least it doesn't seem to be fundamentally broken.

Leaving vague and emotional comments on something that's not maintained by the team here is not constructive. If you have difficulties with setting up dev env following the official doc, then please provide more details; if you are having problems with third-party repos, please report to the maintainers.

Apologize for my inappropriate expression. I am not blaming you or the OP and was actually meant to say `personal experiences without technical details` won't help us get OP's problem solved. There is already a GitHub issue (https://github.com/windingwind/zotero-plugin-template/issues/71) that I believe is posted by the OP before this post, and he got a good explanation from maintainers of that repo.

Since the maintainers are actively responding to issues, it's not the best place to discuss here, as it will spam the dev list with unnecessary emails.

As an amateur enthusiast rather than a professional programmer, I anticipate encountering various "basic" issues during plugin development. Therefore, thankful for everyone's selfless assistance.
