accessing pdf annotations via javacript API?

are pdf annotations accessible via the javascript api? Trying to figure out if I can request a set of annotations directly from a command-line script somehow.

Yes, they are. But if you’re writing a command-line script, you’d probably want to use the web API or local API. Annotations are the children of attachments, so if you have the URL of an attachment item, add /children to get an array of its annotations.
