Hello! I was wondering if there is a documentation on the exact meaning of the fields (keys) of the JSON object returned by the '/items' API-endpoint? I am looking for a way to enforce sort order according to 'dateAdded' even in cases where items ware added the very same second. The 'version' key looks promising, but I couldn't find an explanation of what it actually stands for.

Any pointers as to where I could look for an answer in the source code?

Most should be fairly self-explanatory as part of item metadata. Referring to CSL might get the best detailed explanations of them for any given context. https://citationstyles.org/developers/#/mappings

For the Zotero API specific fields, various pages in https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/web_api/v3/start describe different pieces. For 'version' on various objects, see https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/web_api/v3/syncing
