Hi,

I just wanted to start updating an addon for Zotero 7. IIUC, it should be possible to connect use Firefox remote debugging, but I'm struggling with something really basic: How do you install the right Firefox version? I've downloaded the ESR installer from here: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/102.9.0esr/win64/
But after the installation I've ended up with version 115.something, and it tells me that this version is not compatible with Zotero's version. Did anyone else ran into this? Any hint's what I might be missing?

Best,
Denis

Directory Listing: /pub/firefox/releases/ (mozilla.org)

Do not forget to disable auto update.

You have to make sure to turn off auto-update before quitting for the first time. If you quit and restart Fx102, it will instantly update to Fx115. Even once auto-update is turned off, it will still prompt to update every day or so, and a single misclick applies the update with no confirmation. Very hard to stop Firefox from updating these days.

(Two things that will soon make this less arduous: one, we’re working on embedding the devtools so that you won’t need a specific Firefox version in order to inspect/debug; and two, we’ll have Zotero running on Fx115 soon.)

Thanks you both.

I'll try that. I'm almost certain that I didn't even restart Firefox, but I'll try again.

Best,
Denis
