dev build based on firefox 153 — update your plugins for beta users

Now that Zotero 10 is out, we're preparing to release the first beta of Zotero 11.

Zotero 11 updates the underlying Mozilla platform from Firefox 140 to Firefox 153 ESR.

We've made Firefox 153–based builds available for testing on the 'dev' channel:

As usual, this channel will be active only until we push out a beta with these changes, which we expect to do within a few days. (Beta versions don't enforce plugins' strict_max_version, so people using them need to be prepared for plugins to break at any time, but in this case we can give a few days' heads-up. If you want to test unreleased changes at any time, you can run a source build.)

As always, you can use Zotero.platformMajorVersion to test what Firefox version the current Zotero build is based on.
