Is there a way to configure allowedOrigins (CORS) for the Zotero Desktop API

I'm working on MonsterWriter and recently introduced support for Zotero.org (Hosted SaaS). Now I'm workin on integrating Zotero desktop via the Better Bibtex plugin.

I wonder if it is possible to configure the allowedOrigins within the Zotero Desktop Version?

No, the desktop app allows only local requests for security reasons, and
that's not configurable.

You'll need to run a local proxy server such as this one: https://github.com/cboulanger/excite-docker/blob/main/cgi-bin/zotero/proxy.py
