Zotero 9 has been released, and we're planning to push it as an
auto-update to all users within a few days.
If you haven't yet updated your plugins, please check their
compatibility with Zotero 9. Most plugins that were compatible with
Zotero 8 should be compatible without further changes.
If a plugin is already compatible with a given version of Zotero,
you can simply update `strict_max_version` in the update manifest
without releasing a new version. If changes are required, release a
new version with an updated `strict_max_version` in its
manifest.json.
As a reminder, we're planning to release a
new
major version every 6–10 weeks. (Zotero 9, the first rapid
release, came out 11 weeks after Zotero 8.) Going forward, we'll try
to provide a reminder once a release has been frozen and it's safe
to bump a plugin's `strict_max_version`.
