The Zotero API allows all cross-origin requests, but when a file is requested for download using items//file, it is redirected to https://zoterofilestorage.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/. This results in the following error: "From origin 'https://127.0.0.1:5173
' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource."

Using a proxy results in an AWS error.

Kind regards
Sofie

You'd have to provide some context for when that error occurs -- obviously file download via the Zotero API isn't broken in general since all file sync operations use it.
