Next year will be a year of change. I plan to try and be downtown for
the inauguration, but if the crowds are too heavy I'll have to just
watch it on TV. They're already making preparations for it by putting
up barriers to direct car and pedestrian traffic in and around Capital
Hill.

I watched the ball drop on Hulu.com. NBC-Universal and the Times
Square Countdown Association got together and setup live streaming of
the event that started at 10pm and ended shortly after midnight. They
had roving camera men, fixed cameras on buildings and cameras at the
base of the poll the ball drops down. It was interesting. I was
rather surprised that Youtube Live didn't stream from Times Square.
