I've tested out the Alpha version of Wubi 7.10 and I have to say I'm
impressed. The new version has some interesting and very useful
features. Probably feature one that will make the new Wubi popular is
Live CD boot option for computers which have a BIOS that does not
support bootable CDs. Under normal conditions Wubi downloads an install
.ISO CD image file. With Wubi 7.04 this was the alternative install of
Ubuntu, but Wubi 7.10 will support the full desktop install CD. What's
nice about Wubi 7.10 is that if you have the Ubuntu CD you don't need to
download the disk image. Wubi will create the image for you then
install Gutsy from that image file. Right now its in Alpha but I was
able to successfully install 7.10 on my system with all of the features
fully functional. I'll keep you all posted with new developments.

There are some issues which I didn't encounter:
* The drive that Wubi is installed on must be NTFS.
* You cannot have errors on the drive and it must be defraged before
installing Ubuntu in the virtual disks.
* If your NTFS partition is compressed you must tell Windows not to
compress the folder holding the virtual disks.

Also, when the next Ubuntu is released Wubi will be on the Live CD as
the official installer.
