OpenOffice.org is a free open-source productivity suite born from the
Sun Microsystems StarOffice product and is still backed by Sun to this
day. The software includes a comprehensive suite of productivity
tools such as a word processor, spreadsheet, database, mathematical
equation editor for engineers and college students, a simple business
graphics editor and presentation designer. The default file format
used by OpenOffice.org is the International Standards Organization
recognized OpenDocument Format which has so far been accepted as an
International Standard over Microsoft's Office Open XML format which
was recently rejected by the ISO.
OpenOffice.org works on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Sun Solaris, Unix,
FreeBSD and a number of other operating systems. To get

I was trained on Lotus 1-2-3. This might be worth checking out but
I'm still going to stick with OpenOffice.org.
