Had to remove the ability to create new tweets, reply to tweets, and quote tweets. 

 

So basically we now have a Twitter Feed Reader.  I'm guessing that's now most Zooters used it anyway.  No guarantees that elon won't pull the plug on the Twitter API altogether, but fingers crossed.

Agree. It is impossible to predict what Elon has in store for the future of Twitter.

Starting February 9, we will no longer support free access to the Twitter API, both v2 and v1.1. A paid basic tier will be available instead.

Thankfully, EM is a stream of consciousness tweeter, so he may well have said it will be $420 per month.  🙂

 

I'm hoping any fee will be based on how taxing it is to the twitter system.

That was something I was testing in the preview.  You can delete it for now, as the next release will have an updated (less freaky) version.  The database is probably filling up with Reddit posts and such.  Things related to research of prompt engineering.

It just occurred to me that as a secondary school social studies teacher a significant part of my job was to engineer prompts to which I wanted student responses.

I do subscribe to the newyorker, but I find that the Zooter can fetch articles regardless, depending on the scenario. 

 

I'm not sure if the newyorker just tracks subscribers some clever way, but if I right-click on your image and choose Send To | Zoot I'm able to grab the article. 

 

I guess it may depend on whether or not it's an online article vs one of the main magazine articles.
