The only way I know is to delete the corresponding account folder in the folder tree.
That should remove the entry in the list of accounts in the [ONLINE|account settings], too.

Subject: RE: [Zoot XT] How to Delete an Online Account?

Folks ...

I have a no longer needed Online Account in Zoot, but cannot figure out how to delete it.
Does anybody have any suggestions or experience with this?

Thanks.

Armin ...

Thanks for the help.

But I could not find any Account folders in the folder tree.
And when I click Account Settings from the menu bar, no accounts are shown.
Yet when I open the Zoot DB it tells me there is a problem with an account.
And when I ask for the error details, it shows me the remnants of an old account that used to exist, but is now invalid.

A little bit of a catch-22.

What type of account was this?  Try right-click Trash folder and choose Empty Trash from the pop-up menu.

No luck with emptying the Trash folder.
The account was a standard e-mail account.
Below is text from the error log when you are offered the chance to Disable the account.

I believe that you need to delete the appropriate entry under the "Storage" system folder. The "Storage" folder is viewable via the "Tree All" drop down selection in the tree window.

Next to the Tree icon there s a little arrow. click on that. It will probably reveal hide default. click on Tree All. This will reveal ALL folders in the tree. Then scroll down to the bottom of the tree & you will see the name of your email account. Delete the folder that represents the email account & all folders relative to it, i.e. inbox, outbox, draft, etc.  Go back to tree icon, click on down arrow again, click hide default & zoot will hide all unnecessary folders in an effort to un-clutter or simplify your tree structure.
