I reinstalled v *.54 and still getting the message.

It happened after Win10 asked me to restart after an update.

The same here.  Happened after a Window 10 update this morning.

Tom has mentioned the 9.0 but write he was waiting for some final touches.

I went ahead and gladly ordered 9.0 (I've been using Zoot almost daily for at least two decades for about a penny a day!)

I received a new license key.  I am up and running and my life is now back in order.

PrivateGPT, which is free and open source, means having your own private interface to an AI database that uses your documents, all of which you control, no one else has access to them. You use it just like ChatGPT to make inquiries, but it processes your documents – not something from the outside - to answer your prompts.

Tom, I am wondering if Zoot users can pump all their Zoot files into PrivateGPT after setting it up on their desktop? Will PrivateGPT be able to use Zoot documents to answer one’s questions and prompts? If not, as yet, can you devise a way to enable this for Zoot users? Would be phenomenally cool if users could run PrivateGPT WITHIN Zoot!!! Answers to prompts can in turn be included in one’s Zoot database.

Have you installed PrivateGPT on your desktop?  My understanding is that it is quite slow even if you have a powerful GPU.

 

In any case, I'm certainly keeping an eye on all of this.  I'm interested in the Windows Copilot.  I'm hoping Microsoft won't screw that up.  Hopefully it's not the same team that worked on Windows search and botched that for 30 years. 🙂  We'll have more on that in a couple of months. 

 

My current focus is on Prompt Engineering, which I think is quite important, and which is very much in Zoot's wheelhouse.
