Hi,
I'm new to Zoop and this mailing list.

I'm looking for API and extended documentation on Zoop.

The zoopframework.com site's forums say that they should be on
webarchive.org but it's unaccessible.

Could you please supply me with a way to get the old documention ?

Thanks

Koray

Thanks for your questions. First off the main stable branch of zoop
(1.3 right now I think) is what zoopframework.com is dedicated to.
The google code site (http://code.google.com/p/zoop/) is dedicated to
developing an all new version of zoop that will most likely be
branded as 2.0. This mailing list is also associated with the
development branch. I have mostly been involved with the development
branch for the past year or so, and thus I'm not that familiar with
all of the details of the main branch and it's web site. I can work
with the maintainers of the zoopframwork.com to get this straightened
out though. I am looking on the site for the reference to
webarchive.org but I'm not seeing it. Can you post the URL to the
zoopframework.com page containing that link?

Thanks,

Rick

Glad to meet you Rick.

The webarchive URL is http://web.archive.org/web/20070315114026/zoopframework.com/ss.4/6944/documentation.html

The forum URL is
http://www.zoopframework.com/forum/installation-and-setup/i-am-new-to-zoop-the-frameworks-seems-ok-but-the-documentation-sucks

The documentation links on webarchive *strangely* links back to
docs.zoopframework.com which doesn't work.

Ok, yeah, it seems that web.archive.org isn't the most reliable site
in the world. Sometimes when I check it it's there and sometimes it's
really slow or doesn't work at all. I forwarded your message on to
the maintainer of the stable zoop branch.

I will ask about what happened to the old docs and see if we can get
them put back up again since it seems that web.archive.org isn't
really working out very well. It's not under my control at all but I
can see what they can do.

If you want to check out the future of zoop go to http://code.google.com/p/zoop/source/checkout
for instructions on how to get the latest development version of
zoop. It is a complete overhaul of the original framework,
maintaining the basic approach of zoop but adding to and refining it.
I can help a lot more with that project since I am the maintainer /
primary developer of it. The main MVC portions of it are very stable
at this point and I would be more than happy to answer any questions
about it that you might have.

Thanks,

Rick
