Sorry, I'm unable to offer support for Zoom at the moment due to lack
of time. I'm aware that there are problems, especially due to ICS.

For that reason, I'm making Zoom a free app. I can't consciensiously
charge for something that I can't support.

On the other hand, I do intend to update Zoom after the next Tasker
release.

Sigh (but grinning, to show there's no hard feelings)...
And, of course, I *just* bought it two days ago. :)

Don't worry, I do NOT regret the purchase.
I get so much out of Tasker that I wouldn't begrudge you the money.

And I've now got my desktop looking much more the way I want it, and can uninstall several other apps that were controlling those widgets.

Yes, sorry, that's unavoidable when you make something free, but on
the other hand it's not a huge purchase fee.

This free version is buggy. It cripples my widgets after use of some "landscape" apps. Rolled back to paid version.

Hi Pent,

I saw that you are unable to support Zoom, but that was back a year ago...is there any change? I just got a copy so I could display one variable from Tasker on my WidgetLocker screen and man am I having trouble making it work (can't figure out variable passing Tasker to Zoom, and if the variable value is just written to file it isn't updating reliably on the WidgetLocker screen)

Thanks for any updates or help!

To pass a variable to Zoom make sure it's a global (I believe it must be global) variable then in a Tasker task Set your zoom widget text element with your variable.
ie. In Tasker Task:
"Zoom Element Text" > Element YourZoomWidgetTitle/YourZoomTextBox > Text: %Variable which you wish to update)

Whoa! Thank you very much, I completely missed the need for doing something in Tasker that pushed the value into the Zoom text field.
