Finding an old file

Hi guys, hoping that someone here might be able to help.

My festival group has lost the original source image used in the zoom image on the link below. I can't figure out how to obtain the original image that is being used, only really low quality screenshots. Would anyone here be able to help me access the original image used?

Thanks for reaching out. I checked and the underlying ID for your image is: http://zoomhub.net/v1/content/iSxz

The original source image is http://images.leyportal.co.uk/Caledonia%20B&W%202013%20v02-test3.PNG but as you said, the link is dead.

In order to restore it, you’d have to stitch back the tiles that Zoom.it generated:

DZI: http://cache.zoomhub.net/content/iSxz.dzi

Tiles:

• http://cache.zoomhub.net/content/iSxz_files/9/0_0.png
  
• http://cache.zoomhub.net/content/iSxz_files/9/1_0.png
• http://cache.zoomhub.net/content/iSxz_files/9/0_1.png
• http://cache.zoomhub.net/content/iSxz_files/9/1_1.png
• …

I am not aware of any program that does this, but there are many scripts/programs out there that do the original tile generation: https://openseadragon.github.io/examples/creating-zooming-images/ You could adapt one of those to do the reverse.
