I got a very nice cable from Jim today. It's 3 feet and looks very good.

I plug it in my Zoom Floppy and just it and the USB is in the Zoom Floppy. The IEEE-488 cable goes to the SFD-1001.

I formatted a disk with CBMXfer it's device 10.

But I wanted to copy a D64 to it. But it just stays saying "Working..." and "Creating disk from D64 image, please wait." I can wait 10 minutes and nothing.

What commands can I use in the command line?

Just the USB and IEEE-488 are hooked up to the ZoomFloppy and the Blue LED just stays on.

I hope some one can help.

You send D80 or D82 files to the SFD, since it's a quad-density drive. Expect about 20 minutes or more for it to complete...

I don't have a d80 or d82

So I tested just copied a blank formatted disk Here is what I got:

C:\Users\Raymond\Downloads\commodore ZoomFloopy\D64>d64copy 10 test-sfd-1001.d82

[Warning] Unknown drive, assuming 1541

SIGINT caught X-(  Resetting IEC bus...
USB error in xum1541_wait_status: libusb0-dll:err [submit_async] device not open

C:\Users\Raymond\Downloads\commodore ZoomFloopy\D64>

The SFD-1001 spins a little and nothing else. The command line just stays there till I do a  Ctrl C. You can see there here after the assuming 1541.

Test test I downloaded a D82 image using CBMXfer at lest it says in drive type "8250".

When I got to copy the 8250lp-demo.d82 to it CBMXfer says I don't have imgcopy.exe I looked and can't find it on the web.

If I go here:

It says page not found. I guess that would be were to get it.

Were else do they have it to download?

I believe IMGCOPY is the preferred tool for all IEEE drives, and eventually will replace D64COPY and D82COPY as well. I don't know what happened to Thomas's site. Perhaps I can host the IMGCOPY file on my site temporarily...

Archive.org has the dir of it but not the file:

Wayback Machine doesn't have that page archived.

Want to search for all archived pages under

So in points back to a link were it came from and you know it's not there any more.

I've got a copy of the imgcopy code. I'll upload and link to it later today.

It needs to be properly integrated with the OpenCBM tree, so perhaps we could get a volunteer for that work?

Is there any need for hosting? I can offer a subdomain under fairlight.to.

I doubt that hosting is the problem, as Nate (zoomfloppy) as well as me
(OpenCBM) already have places to host this.

It would help of someone could look at the code and decide how much work
it is. Naturally, I'd believe I am most familiar with the OpenCBM build
system, so I might be a natural choice for such a task. ;)

BTW: I'd like to know why the postings from nate always arrive later
than answers to him here. I did not get the original posting from
Nate yet.

Regards,
Spiro.
