MSD SD-2 / SD-1 with IEEE-488

Any word on getting  MSD SD-2/1 with IEEE-488 to work?
I thought I had seen  a post that said it was working now so I bought a  IEEE-488 cable and tried it with my  MSD SD-1. I searched posts and found people had the same problem.
We can do status: C:\Program Files\opencbm>cbmctrl status 8
73,m.s.d. dos v2.3,00,00

Cbmctrl detect freezes the zoomfloppy with blue light on.  

cbmctrl dir 8 without disk:74,drive not ready,00,00
cbmctrl dir 8 with disk: blank and back to blinking cursor
I asked Jim Brain and he says his SD-2 does the same thing.

I am a technician and have repair a lot of military equipment but Commodore is my hobbie and has been since 1984. I had learned to program in asm using Merlin but only recently got back into it! I lost all my notes but recovered my disks so had to relearn all over.

Any plans on getting IEEE-488 with MSD working?
