matthias@MacBook-Pro-von-Matthias opencbm % xum1541cfg devinfo
finding device...
xum1541 device, model 2 (ZOOMFLOPPY), firmware version 8
When no serial nor parallel cable connected:
matthias@MacBook-Pro-von-Matthias opencbm % cbmctrl status 8
99, driver error,00,00
Serial connected, the LED of ZF start flashing rapidly after the following:
matthias@MacBook-Pro-von-Matthias opencbm % cbmctrl status 8
and die Terminal isn't reacting anymore/hung!
but when I disconnect the serial cable the terminal awakens and I get
USB error in xum1541_wait_status: LIBUSB_ERROR_PIPE
The 1541 is working with real C64 otherwise, no problems with the serial-port.
The device number is correct.
The pins 1 to 6 on the serial Port - measured with multimeter or oscilloscope is 0 to 0,5 V. Thought there must be at least some of them high-inactive.!?
This is what my working directory looks like:

Should I mention that I flashed the "xum1541-ZOOMFLOPPY-v08.hex" myself?
During installation I tried to follow all the steps mentioned in the manual and for some obstacles I prompted Gemini, that helped a lot.
I don't know yet how to use libusb_debug-Mode or find the log. In 2020 there was another questioner here with a similar problem-but I don't know whether this was the same issue 'cause I'm on a Mac.
If it's only a USB-Driver issue or somewhat alike- how should I proceed or what should I check to get the pretty thing running?
PLEASE HELP.
