Have you tried the editor software called 'Librarian'. and
there is also an explanatory manual for the software.

http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/download/software/g92tt.php

It has a diagram showing that the USB and Midi cables that must be
attached correctly.
When you do an upload from your PC using the Librarian software a
message appears to tell you which buttons to press on the pedal to
allow access.

Import and export functions are also via this software.

It is all a bit fiddly.
Hope this helps.
Cheers R

Wade,
I've had my share of issues with loading settings.  Even with the MIDI interface correctly connected I have to reset the pedal from time to time to get the changes to take.  My issues with the programmability have to do with what a particular setting sounds like live as that's what I bought it for.  I have to plug in the setting, save it, then plug it into an amp to see if it works the way I want it to.  Most times I still have to tweak the settings (especially levels and gain) before it's useable.  I have also found if playing live, the amps should be set to break up slightly to get the real effect of the pedal, i.e. distortion(s), overdrive, harmonics, panning, depth of echo, etc. Thinking and working with MIDI is a different mindset.  It would be great if ZOOM would incorporate a Windows GUI or like Operating System for ease of use so we could simply use a USB patch.  Just me venting though.  If you follow the instruction manual the Librarian does actually work though it's a short learning curve to adapt what you like and what you hear tonally.

If you have any further questions please shout.  Folks have been very helpful on this user group.

Cheers,

Eric

I believe there are a few ways to get your patches in, 1 of course is
manually, and 2 is with the editor, I think there are 2 ways to get
them into the editor as well (correct me if I'm wrong), I think you
can import it into the librarian into the patch bank you want it, you
can also copy the "text" of a patch and paste it into a patch.
Unfortunately I dont have my set-up in front of me at this time or I
would do a step by step tutorial on it if I haven't done it already
somewhere here.
Also to let you know about the spammers that posted here have been
banned, it probably was one person but who knows, I cant see why
someone who does not like the G9 would even come here to post some
BS . anyone posting non-related G9 stuff here will be banned.
