Hi- For the last year, I've been running my ZoomG9.2tt straight to the
PA and then using a powered monitor to hear myself.
I want to go back to using an amp, but I want to be able to use the
Zoom for my effects.

To the best of my knowledge, I'll plug it into the front of the amp
and make sure to use the proper gain switch setting on the Zoom.
Then, I would use my amps channel switching for distortion and clean,
but want to use the Zoom for things like Chorus, Wah, Delay, Tuning,
etc. Basically, JUST the effects with no amp modelling.

Is it possible to use it strictly as an effects unit without using amp
modelling too?

Thanks

sure it is possible. turn off pre-amp module, activate effects u want and you're good to go. if u don't want distortion from tubes, then set them to 8,0,0,0 (going from left)

One more- I don't suppose there's any way the Zoom can handle the amp
channel switching...? It'd be nice to not have to have two pedals
there. Might just have to program distortion from the Zoom and use the
clean amp channel.

Thanks for the replies Patryk. However, it's a Fender amp without Midi
Capabilities, so I would think that'd not work.

if u use behgringers 1010, there's possibility to switch analogue things also.…
i think it's not the only midi/analog controller.
btw, if u use use 1010, use freeware opsystem for it – it has more
possibilities.
check from the internet…

that's why u need that interface. it receives midi instructions from midi capable device (in this case your g9.2tt) and acts as a foot switch for amp without midi ports

well it's basically same thing. u need something closing and opening circuit (to b connected instead of foot sw to the amp) and have it controlled by midi commands from zoom

i think someone makes a smaller product just for this . the amp
switcher or amp gizmo if you google midi amp channel switching u may
find this. Connect it to the midi of the G9 then program in with your
patches that the zoom sends the right midi command to the amp gizmo
type thing to switch your channel when u turn effects on and off. Also
if you aren't do so u may want to use the 4 cable method to hook
things up
