Herman,

Great find!  Thanks for your email, I’ve already downloaded your GM patch hoping to try it out this evening.  Question:  is the patch for live or studio?  I’ve found vast differences when using the G9 straight into my computer vs. through an amp.  What’s your experience in configuration differences if any?

Cheers,

Eric

I always use the live. I would run left channel to my amp and the right to the mixing board when playing live or recording. It seemed to work out pretty good with some level adjustments. There are so many patches on that site that you should find many good ones. There are also a lot that are not that exciting but, whoever put this site together had to have spent quite a bit of time on it. Also don`t be afraid to do some tweaking on them depending on what amp or gear you are using. Experiment on your computer with the G9 gain switch on the back either +4 or –10. The +4 setting will drive your sound card pretty hard. So you might have to use the –10 setting for recording. I love the overdriven sound of the G9. You just can`t get that great tube tone without tubes. I hope this helps you.

Also if goinginto an amp, try turning off the cab emulator, and plugging into the fx return or power amp in instead of the amps  input jack.
