Hi, I've been running my ZoomG9.2tt through an amp for the past year
or so. I recently got involved with another project where I need to
use it directly to the PA. I've done this before, but I cannot for the
life of me remember how I did it. When I try to run it directly to the
PA, I get some distortion (not the good kind). The manual is pretty
confusing about the Gain Switch and I imagine that's what's up.

If I am running to a little mixer, then that goes to the PA, where
should that gain switch be? Is it the same if I take the little mixer
out of the chain?

Sorry, this seems like a dumb question, but I can't find the answer.

I have been running my guitar into a presonus tube preamp(with the 80Hz
killl switch on) and and running into the main. I had to make a set of
patches, but I have gotten some killer stereo tone this way. I think you
would still need the gain switch to be +4. Is it a powered mixer? I never
considered running to a little mixer, but that may be a good way to shape
the EQ and tweak levels further.

My rig:

Gretsch Pro Jet
Presonus Tube Pre
Frontman 212R

I was running my Tonelab SE and the G9 into a mixer to have stereo
through both, great setup !, I use to Hartke G60c's (1 x 12 combo's)
set as clean as a babies ass, (after a diaper change of coarse), one
big distortion cause is the tubes turned up to high, I mostly use
about a 9 O'clock setting on both. and yeah the gain switch does
matter (big change).
