Hey,
I'm being seriously challenged by this set up. What are the
connections and how are they used? I want to program the pedal but
I'm getting nowhere fast. Can someone please assist?

Thanks,

20

BTW - Received another Marshall L&B 20 watt today! Pristine.

hey...
could u tell me what problem ur facin with the interface ?? My midi/ usb interface is incompatible with vista..... so if u're using XP , then maybe i can help u out...
well .. i was also damn confused with the connections in the beginning... i used to get an error like : " connection timed out " ...

try out these connections ... i'll tell u step by step..
1) connect the OUT of the MIDI cable to the IN of the processor and the IN of the cable to the OUT of the processor...
2) the connect the usb end to the system and open your zoom g9 editor/librarian
3) then click on the MIDI option from the menu and select MIDI IN as your usb audio codec
4) select the MIDI OUT option and select the usb thing again ...

it should probably work after that ...  u should click on the ONLINE button after that .. try the recv all button after that .. if you get an error then repeat steps 3 and 4 with different combinations of the inputs and outputs ... ( MIDI IN may have 2 or 3 options and MIDI OUT may have another few ) try the combinations like  (1,1) (1,2) (1,3) ( 2,1) (2,2) etc ....and try to recv all  in  each combination ...

i guess that should help you out ...
good luck ...
any doubt ,  u can either post on the group or mail me at : uvais_...@yahoo.com

It might help more to know what you are trying to use, if your using
XP and another MIDI cable (the cable that comes with the G9 is for
recording only) I use the same cable my Vox Tonelab SE uses for the
editor which is an M-Audio UNO (see my personal site tonelab page) you
can download the manual from this site as well as here
http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/download/manual/english.php

Thanks very much.  Unable to get to the thing right now due to work.  I am using a M-Audio UNO so quite relevant advice.

Cheers,

Eric

Hi folks,
I'm back for awhile and have successfully accomplished a midi
connection that is working between my G9 and my computer. I'm wanting
to incorporate (copy) your patches but now I hit the dumb list again.
How do I import your patches and from where? I tried notepad, but it
tells me wrong format. Sorry to be such an incredible pain in the a$
$. I really want to try this thing and see what it can really do.
BTW, just had a guitar handmade, it's on it's way. Can't wait to
share pics and sound with all of you.

Thanks for any and all help,

Eric

Hey Eric,
All my equipment is in storage now so I'll try to tell you by what I
remember from months ago when I did that last. I believe in the Editor
there is a "Paste" or maybe it's an "Import" option in the file menu I
believe, once you open it it wants you to paste the text patch in, I
think there is another way to but not sure, looking forward to your
pics.

Hi Monte,
Are you moving?  Sorry to have been out of touch so long.  Working out of town for the last two months.  I think I've figured it out for patch transfer, just going to hook it up and try it.  You're right on the nose for the below suggestions, works great, thanks!  This pedal is seriously impressive.  I'm more shocked and amazed every time I use it.

Cheers,

Eric

I actually moved here to Stockton Ca. May 4th and was hoping to buy a
house but it's tough to get one now unless you put down a lot of cash,
So I just had to move all my stuff into storage because the house I'm
in was my sisters and its foreclosing.never know when they will come
and lock up the place maybe with out warning so I am ready to hit the
motel after unload the truck tomorrow,
I really like the G9 a lot, just as much if not a little more than my
Tonelab SE, although the SE can get some nice tones as well. I hooked
the together in stereo and can do awesome things with them both.
check the 4 pics at the bottom of the page here....

Wow, you just gave me a great idea.  Sorry to hear about the house and all.  Tough times, but we'll get through it.  Hope it settles down for you in short order.  Just received a photo of my newest addition.  Take care and be safe.

Cheers.

Eric
