I'm switching to a Pod X3 Live mainly for the ability of being able to
pair it with a variaxe guitar and have all my alternate tunings and
amps/ effects switch at once with the push of a button . I initially
got an amp modeller/multi fx so i didn't have to lug around an amp but
even so traveling with an amp moddeller and 2 or 3 guitars is still a
bit much given that i have to rely on NYC public transit to get to
rehearsals and gigs cabs are 2 expensive and i can't drive given that
i am legally blind. And while i know i can use a variaxe with the zoom
i like the idea of just being able to switch everything from the pod.
I'll miss a few features of the zoom (like the multiple fx pedals and
in some cases the fx chain is a little more flexible ) but the Pod
has its advantages as well. Asking $200
