Sorry if this gets posted twice but i tried emailing it to the group
and it doesn't look like it got posted that way. Anyways i have a zoom
g9.2tt that i am relatively new to and trying to figure out if i can
do something. I have a patch where i would like to switch from a
flanger to the mod delay which are both under the Mod EFX2 section.
I'd like to use the expression pedal to switch between them For
example Heel down can be the Flange and when i slide it to toe down it
brings in the mod delay. So can this be done?
Thanks

Sorry bout the Posting delay, I like to make sure our members are
legit and not spammers.
you cannot do this as they are on the same mod FX, although what you
might want to do is
duplicate the patch to another right beside it and change the mod FX,
some players will have
all five patches in one group (ex. U8) set all the same but with
different FX on the mods.
although it would be cool to have the pedals be able to cross over
like you want, it is just not
designed like that. the closest you could do that trick I think would
be with 2 G9's one volume
in as the other goes out. (would I make a good Zoom sales person ?
8D )
I can do this but I'd have to use my Tonelab SE for the crossover, I
have had them running in
stereo and making some really neat sound pallets.
Maybe some of our other members have some better Ideas ?!?!

yeah i kind of realized that was how it was set up after i posted from
the web interface and the only option was send to moderator. Well
thats what i thought but wasn't sure if i was missing something in
the manual. It seems like thats waht i got to doa alot cuz alot of
times i don't want the same modulation effects on my distorted sound
as i have on my cleans. At some point i may throw a behringer v-verb in
my rack and controll the effects on off through the zoom. How do you
like the amp emulations on the zoom vs the tonelab?
Thanks Steve

I think the TL has some really great emulations for mostly cleaner
tones, and the G9 is better for the metal tones, I love both of them,
although I have currently been twiddling with my TL more for the bands
demad for classic rock sounds

Yeah that's waht i thought from reading the descriptions of them both
and par of my deciding to go with the G9, it modelled more of the
metal amps i was interested in I am not a big fan of marshalls and
the only non marshall hard rock/metal emulation on the TL was a mesa
dual recto if memory serves correct. That and i thought the Zoom had
more useful features .. though as you could tell by my first post i
can't exactly use some of them as i had hoped lol .

I really like the Idea of the twin tubes, Although I don't think it
added any more "tube tone" compared to the TL the other "useful
features" and different effects are what drove me to get it too, these
things are made for tone tweakers, if you don't tweak'm your stuck
with the preprogrammed settings.

So you are saying the zoom sounds as much Tube tone wise as the
TL?Interesting. Yeah it was the effects loop and midi control that did
it for me though who knows if i'll ever get around to using the midid
control. FX loop should come in handy though. I kind of figured the
tubes were a nice touch but weren't banking on them really adding all
that much to it.

I have tweaked on the G9 a few of my TL patches to sound as close as
possible and although they don't sound EXACTLY the same they were
close enough to satisfy a good ear to where they wouldn't be able to
tell the difference if asked what unit was what. again this all
depends on your equipment and the guitars you use, I suggest that you
have custom patches for each guitar as they WILL sound different, and
if you use different amps you will have to tweak for those as well.

Interesting you can get them all souning similiar. Yeah well i use
different guitars with different tunings for different songs so i
was gonna tweak them per guitar anyways. But thanks for the info and
tips.
