new "STORING" / "Saving" Problem with my G9 !

was working fine, then out of the blue when I went to save a patch the
store light wasn't flashing like normal and pressing it did nothing,
tried everything I could think of to get it to work again, the only
way I could actually store the patch (or any I want to change) is to
use the SEND button after setting the G9 to BulkdumpRX mode.
the only think I haven't done yet the I will soon do is try to do a
new Initialize on the unit (Restore factory settings).
I'll get back once I try this,
But if any of you have had this problem please share you experience !

i had similar problem. i've even tried to reinstall software on the unit but i "bricked" my zoom in the process.
after a week of research and talks with retards from zoom i bought other midi interface and it solved the my problem.
it looks like some usb/midi interfaces are causing critical errors while sending "write" command.

thanks for the reply Patryk, how every I don't think it is the midi
cable/interface, I have been using the M-audio Uno which had been
working fine, and having it not even connected
it the STORE/SWAP button will not work (even trying to do a factory
reset), below is a post I posted at Stompbox.
ok, just had this happen to me today, was editing all my patches that
I going to use next weekend and when I got to the last one all of a
sudden the Store/Swap button will
not flash like it normally did but was on continues red, pushing it
does nothing, after fiddling with all the buttons and knob, turning it
on and off, holding the
Store/Swap while turning on (factory reset) nothing worked, It wont
even do a factory reset because it is that button that seems to have
lost it's function. I didn't do a
version upgrade (why fix something that's not broken ?) the only way I
can now change and save my patches is to do a "SEND" to it from the
editor. (Major pita). if some
one has a solution please post or e-mail me, I hate dealing with
Customer Service but I may just have to.

Well upon firing up my G9 a few days later after unplugging all
connection and letting it "rest", it seems to be working again as
normal.
I'm hoping it was just a glitch or something, I used it at a gig and
it worked fine so now I gotta go and test it out on the M-Audio UNO
midi cable again.

Monty,
Is there any place to attain download patches for the g9? The patches'
emails I've kept all this time end up at dead end sites or file not found or
server unable to find your request. There were some cool, cool patches and
now they're gone, HELP!
