Dear Presidents and Club Members,
Finally RED is over!!!
However for Zone 2B, this is one of the RED that I will not forget personally, not because I was the ZRR of the zone
but for a number of reasons :)
To start with our amazing Contingent leaders, Rtr. Karan and Rtr. Archana:
I was very scared initially because of office and my travel, if I will be able to communicate and handle the zone well.
But once Archana and Karan came it, the process not only got smooth but better and better everday and I guess all the efforts were paid off and the results proved it all when we got a surprise award (which we never expected :) )
1st RUNNERS UP - RED PARTICIPATION in 3140.
Then Friday was ofcourse kind of nightmare and not a dream start at SPORTS day when only 12 members turned up from the zone and Karan alone took charge of everything. We finished 4th at the end of the day. We lost all but finished 2nd in Dodge the basket.
Kudos to those 12 ppl who were the face of 2B on friday and managed to pull it off. Thank you so much!
Then on Saturday, the first event of the day ..Bhagam Bhaag, the relay event and Zone 2B was there..we came first and started the day in style and after that there was no looking back. Not that we had a huge crowd on Saturday but with 20 ppl, Karan, I and Harsh managed to send in maximum entries for all the events happening during the course of the day and phewwww that was a task. However we successfully managed to participate in all the events only because of our highly enthu zone members who never uttered even a single word when they were forced to enter into an event of which they dint even had a clue :)
I can still smile on remembering those faces. People started running away from myself and KAran out of the fear that abhi yeh dono koi event mein daal denge..but it was fun and just loads of fun. Saturday by sunset, we managed to move up the ranking and we came to the 3rd position and that gave us enough reasons to fight for the second position on Sunday and nothing could deter our memebers from attending RED on Sunday right from morning 10am (although half of them were late but nevermind :D ) after struggling and running so hard on Saturday.
We won a few events again and then 6 of our zone members were selected for Mr and Ms RED, then we participated in Mr and Ms. Rotaract and then the big one..we came 3rd in the FASHION SHOW...and man that was an achievement..hardly a day of practice and pulling that off was truly amazing and I would like to thank Sudha (even though she wasnt keeping well, she made it a point to be there as she had taken the responsibility of the show), Smita (in the end she took charge of everything when Sudha was not well and included the GO GREEN concept in betweent the theme OPPOSITES and that idea was superb!!) and last but not the least Suvarna who took care of the costumes and ofcourse all are wonderful models of ZONE 2B..truly inspiring..right from VARUN (jhad patti..he was the TREE) to RAVAN(JAgu) and all our awesome zone members who had the courage to go on stage and snatch off the 3rd position.BRAVO!!
Sunday was the big day and we pulled off the major events in style again.
We won the DANCE competition and that was a ROCK ON performance...everyone at the event was spell bound!!
and then we won the second prize in MOCK -N-ERA but truly they deserved the first prize..we only lost because we overshot the time limit otherwise everyone at RED personally came to me and told me that "Taroon, your zone performances today were fab and specially the Mock An ERA and DANCE". I was so proud of my zone... :)
Then we also won MR. Rotaract - our very own Deputy DRR....and Contingent Leader..none other than Karan Rawal...his first attempt and there he was with the crown...and then the starrer.... Nameeta from Vaze who is Ms RED - 2008..she just came in like a splendor and after she left the stage all knew who was Ms. RED...and for the records she was one of the victims of Taroon and Karan forcing ppl to participate in Ms RED..so it was kind of an accident :) but truly deserving :)
Also, Harsh who was the runner up at MR. RED..this guy was everywhere man...he and SHRUTI (KOMAL CHAUTALA of zone 2B) by god...these two are the gems discovered in RED for zone 2B..ask them to go for any event and they will just smile back at you and with confidence will mention ho jayega..we will win this...
Sunday got over ...we achieved a lot but only disappoint was we could not come 2nd..but nevertheless we won the 2nd RUNNERS UP TROPHY at RED and guess the amount of fun we had on the last day ofcourse because there were so many ppl from our zone...I swear...I havent slept in the night...I was smiling back at moments we have had at RED and the fun that we had...specially last day when the zone was like one big club as Karan mentioned....I felt so proud...This space is too small for me to write everything here and mention the ppl who were there....there are so many of them whom I have not even mentioned here but each and everyone present from zone 2B was soooo soooo very important and very genuinely a star for us...I remember each and everyone and at all times of RED, all who were present have helped our zone in the best possible way and without any complaints and thats the most heartening part of it....I will sign off here but before I do that..lets have our zone shout :)
TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR
ZONE 2B, HERE WE ARE (2)
UP ABOVE THE WORLD SO HIGH
LIKE A DIAMOND IN THE SKY
Man when we started shouting and even the best of the contingents went pale in front of us and zone 2B was just everywhere...for me this was the first year in the district nd only because of every member present at RED, It will remain as the most memorable time of my life...Thank you so much guys....I owe it all to you..The best part was all the clubs were there as one team and plz lets maintain that forever!
Lastly would like to thank Karan and Chana again and a special thank to SIES college who was the only host club from our zone...JASHNA and HEET made a huge difference and their dedication as OC members of RED should make us feel more proud...That makes me really feel that zone 2B was everywhere at RED and as I said yesterday lets not cut this enthu here...plz continue to meet the frnds that you all have made in the zone and other zones too...keep the spirit high and once again..
