Ihave googled mods for AC but I have been taken to some sites that don't look to safe. admittedly I'm new to all this since ive always been a console gamer but I did go to one site I found on google and found mods like the old trans am series cars...link was dead, new cars to download so I downloaded and unzipped car files to cars folder....cant find them in the game, downloaded some more cars.....yay some kind of malware virus. don't get me wrong I think I have downloaded 4 cars that do work I just figured there would be more and i'd love to race some old American muscle cars, v8 supercars or just some regular street cars. I see on here someone talking about the 2015 mustang shifter...I cant even find the mustang.

Racedepartment has the best selection of original mods. Lot of other stuff online is ripped from Forza, and while some of it is decent, others have very little effort put into the physics. The official AC forums are a good place to grab stuff too.

Great info thanks I had the same question. The issue I am having is that it seems some only work on older versions of the game. Is this true and if so how do you determine which works on the newest version of the game. I see most mods have version numbers but it seems like the version of the mod not the game.

I haven't gotten a single car or track off of this site that wasn't absolutely awesome to drive or drive on! A few are duplicates from race department but this site has only current mods that work with the latest build and they all have a scale telling you how good they are. Also they claim to only add the best of the best on this site. I was a little skeptical at first but this is the only place I go now. And yes they are all free and I haven't gotten any virus's or anything like that. Check it out.

Since 2007, Inside Sim Racing has been the number one show dedicated to the world of simulated motorsports. Every episode, we will bring you stories from a variety of genres in the world of Simulated Racing.

However, when you are downloading Assetto Corsa mods, you need to keep in mind where you are getting them from. That's the most important factor! A lot of mods can be very appealing, but you can't get them from just anywhere.

If you have a set mod in mind you want to get, you should look for it from reputable sites. Some of the most well-known sites are Race Department as well as Assetto Corsa Club. Of course, that doesn't mean these are the only sites you can get your hand on mods from!

There are other sites you can check out, but make sure to do your homework on how safe they are. The official AC modding forums can help you figure out if the site is safe or not. Additionally, they have mods there sometimes too.

If you're getting your mods from a website that's trustworthy, we can reassure you that Assetto Corsa mods are completely safe. You should be able to find most mods on the most famous modding sites. But don't stray too far away!

In case you already got a mod that you're suspicious of, just check if it has ".exe" files! If it doesn't, you're on the safe side. If it does, it's best to get your laptop scanned for any malicious software, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's harmful.

It's important to stay safe on and off the track racers. In the end, being patient and looking for genuine sources will always pay off. In this wonderful community, you will always find the help you need!

This is June of 2021, but better then nothing. I will paste it here for (sort of) safe keeping. Dean, you said there was some useful server setup info somewhere in the thread, you might want to pull that out also.

3) Once you get it up and running, send me a message on there. My name is prodarwin#1538. Put it in the upper left box. Just let me know you want a GRM invite and your forum name if I don't have any way of identifying you.

Click voice and video, adjust your volumes, and your devices if necessary. You can select push to talk or 'voice activity'. Discord is actually very good at deciding when you are talking, so it works pretty well and saves you the need to bind a button.

The important thing to note here is, when it comes time to play AC, look for the Assetto Corsa channel, if it shows some people below it, they are currently in the channel, which probably means we are racing. Just click to join.

I've tried several different ways of unzipping the modern GT3 cars on the "OneDrive", and trying to install them one at a time. Unfortunately, I keep getting corrupted file/content not found error messages by content manager. Not sure if there's a workaround, but I'm unable to use any of that content. I've never had a problem using any files posted on the google drive until now, I'm currently at a dead end with those cars.

I can give you a link to my one drive and I will pull the individual cars and zip them up separately and put them there. I think there may be an issue with the 911 and the Supra. I eliminated them from the server as I was having issues. We can play with the cars on the other server or I can put up the set of race cars I put together. Or we can just do some one make races tonight and other people can digest cars to use.

Game mod piracy undoubtedly opened the door for malicious actors to disguise viruses/malware amidst legitimate community creations in years past. However, the chance of this occurring today from reputable sites like Race Department or direct creator links is extraordinarily low for several reasons:

Even after sourcing safe mods and confirming your hardware can handle them, improperly installing add-ons remains a headache for AC rookies. Thankfully, precise placement is essential for seamless integration:

So in summary, while AC mods require some specialized handling compared to simple DLC packs, having the passion to learn proper mod management pays back dividends in enhanced longevity and enjoyment with this legendary title!

After closely examining all facets around security, performance, and handling, I solidly conclude Assetto Corsa mods have earned their reputation as safe, beloved additions rather than compromising intruders.

- I use an app for 3D Printing called a "slicer" who prepares the file for 3D printing that would consistently crash on my Windows 11 setup during slicing (after 5 to 10 seconds max), but not on a virtual machine installed with VirtualBox (Windows 10)

For this scenario, it is important to mention that when using third-party applications such as the one you described, there could be miscalculations or misreadings and the results might not be that accurate when it comes to processor details

Our official tool and the one we rely on is the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool, it does an overall test on the unit, and if it passes the test, it means it is working properly. You mentioned that the processor passed the test, which is great since based on those results, we can rule out a possible hardware issue with the unit.

When it comes to games crashing, since you are using a video card, the video card itself is actually the one that handles all the graphics tasks on your system. As an option, you can remove the video card, use just the integrated graphics controller only, and test the games to verify if the behavior is the same. Keeping in mind, that the performance while running games will depend on the game specifications and your whole hardware configuration. Games are usually GPU intensive, which is why we recommend to use a video card as you are currently doing so and also to verify the game requirements to make sure your platform complies with them.

The same recommendation is also provided for the 3D Printing "Slicer" since it might be using a lot of resources from the machine which will cause the crashing of the computer. Please verify the system requirements with the manufacturer of the 3D printer to confirm if your device fully supports it.

Even though you mentioned that the BIOS is up to date, still we recommend to get in contact directly with ASUS support just to make sure that the latest BIOS version is currently installed and if they suggest any BIOS settings that might improve the performance of the system. We always advise to use the PC with under the stock configurations with the default BIOS settings:

Everyone who bought i9-13900k is suffering in silence. Some don't even know what it is and getting their head burst out... Please do good and help everyone instead of taking long time to check everyone and telling all nonsense reasons even when you have a data of how many i9-13900k has gone wrong? Please at-least publish the data.
