------------------------------------------------------------- III The State of the Squad (2008 accomplishments)
-----------------------------------------------------------Zombie Squad has come a long way in just a few short years. What started as a conversation between a small group of friend on a South St. Louis drive has become an international movement to encourage the public to take some very basic steps towards preparing for emergencies ranging from the annoying to the catastrophic. 2008 was on of the best years on records for our organization.
ZS International
- Raised $5,386 for Save The Children to help with the Myanmar and China disasters last summer
- Hosted two "Zombie Survival" seminars
- Kicked off the Volunteer Awards Program
- Added four new chapters - Washington - Virginia - New York - University of Pittsburgh, Bradford (Since January 1, 2009 we've added four more).
- Hosted the fourth annual Zombie Con, which has brought ZS members together from 11 US states and three countries.
- Our chapters have been busy as well. Just to point out some of the year's highlights...
