On the evening of May 22, 2011, one of the deadliest tornadoes in American history struck the town of Joplin, Missouri. As of June 9, the death toll from this event is 151 people and property damage is estimated at more than a billion dollars. Throughout Joplin, buildings, homes, and other structures have been destroyed or significantly damaged, with water and power services interrupted. The clean up and rebuilding effort is underway but it'll be a long costly road to restore this town. Until then, the citizens of Joplin need your help to make sure the people of the town have their basic needs met.

Zombie Squad's mission is to not only promote disaster preparedness education and awareness, but also to encourage our members to respond when their fellow humans are suffering. In a world where the undead hunt and seek out the living to prey upon, the living must band together to survive. By helping each other as much as possible now, we are building the bonds that will help us form communities later in the inevitable post-apocalyptic wasteland. The end of civilization will not be the end of humanity.
Zombie Squad is calling upon our members to pool funds for a donation to relief efforts in Joplin. We will collect donations from June 13th until June 30th. On July 1st we will forward all of the collected funds to Ozarks Food Harvest, a 501c3 organization that is providing food and comfort to the people in this disaster zone. You can read more about them at http://www.ozarksfoodharvest.org/. We believe their mission fits with Zombie Squad's own mission and their work is worth our support. If you'd prefer to donate on your own, rather than through this drive, we hope that you will consider Ozark Food Harvest for your donation.
Please keep in mind that 100% of your donation will go to Ozark Food Harvest. Any and all fees associated with your donation (paypal fees, dog tags, postage, administration costs, etc.) will be paid for by Zombie Squad, its supporting members, and the awesome people who buy our stuff.
