hourglass - archiving expired indexes

Hello,

From the hourglass wiki [1], I see that it is possible to implement
hooks to handle expired index. Has anybody tried this out to archive
the expired indices? Any ideas of how to go about this?

It might be of help to anybody who is trying to do the same thing. In
`trim` function of HourglassReaderManager.java[1], comment the line
`FileUtil.rmDir(dir.getDirectory());` and write couple of lines of
code to move that to an archive.
