We are incredibly grateful to have hosted Joey Doucette at Zohar this past weekend. Joey led two inspiring Luigi-style Masterclasses and a comprehensive 15-hour Luigi Level 1 Certification Workshop.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the classes and especially to those who completed the certification. Joey's dedication to carrying forward Luigi’s legacy in jazz dance is truly inspiring.

BALLET with AUGUSTO
- Augusto is back teaching this Friday, July 25 @ 10:30 am (regular schedule)
- Brooke Wertwijn is subbing for Kristine until Thursday, July 24th. Thank you to Brooke for filling in for Kristine. Please send Brooke your best wishes as she was accepted to Akram Khan's Summer Intensive to train. We are thrilled for her.
- Anton Pankevitch will sub for Kristine on Tuesday, July 29th @ 10:30 am.

POP GROOVE with CHRISTINE BAKER (MONDAY, 7.28 @ 6PM)
- Our wonderful pop groove instructor, Christine Baker, is back for another fun and groovy dance class. This class is taught in a safe space and is open to ALL levels of dance.

Join us for a special opportunity to study with Augusto, a celebrated ballet dancer and exceptional instructor, as he leads a Beginning Ballet class designed to build a strong foundation in ballet technique, body alignment, and movement mechanics.
- Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Augusto began his training at the age of seven and has performed leading roles such as Basilio in Don Quixote and James in La Sylphide, earning top honors at South America’s largest ballet competition, Festival de Dança de Joinville. He went on to represent Brazil at the USA International Ballet Competition, which led to a professional contract with Nashville Ballet, where he danced as a Soloist from 2011 to 2018. During his distinguished career, Augusto performed iconic roles including the Jester in Cinderella, Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty, Bonvolio in Romeo & Juliet, and the title role in Paul Vasterling’s Peter Pan. He has worked with world-renowned choreographers such as Christopher Wheeldon, Dominic Walsh, and Graham Lustig.

GUEST ARTIST/TEACHER: ISABEL HARDING (AUGUST 5th & 9th)
- We’re excited to welcome back Zohar alum Isabel Harding, who is visiting from New York City! Many of you may remember seeing Isabel train right here at Zohar—she has since earned her BFA in Dance Performance and BA in Drama, and is now actively pursuing a professional career in dance and musical theater in NYC.
Isabel will be teaching at Zohar on Tuesday, August 5 (Theater Jazz) and Saturday, August 9 (Precision Jazz...Rockette movement) . Please note: the August 9 class is not suitable for beginners. Character shoes are recommended but not required.

- Zohar high school students Marie Suzano and Syd Mendelson will be performing in Hadestown at the Roberta Jones Junior Theatre. Syd stars as Orpheus, who ventures into the underworld to rescue Eurydice, while Marie takes on the role of one of the three Fates—sister goddesses who control destiny.Though this is a youth/teen production, the cast has been working hard over the past month, and we’re excited to share the results. Performances run August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. They would love your support!
