Sudden 403 errors when syncing notes with my Synology DiskStation

Hi,

I am a very satisfied used of Zettel Notes. However, since (I believe) one week my the connection to my Synology DiskStation acts up with permanent 403 errors. I can no longer sync notes.

My WebDAV setup goes through https, and I have changed nothing (for at least 6 months), neither on the Android side, nor on the Synology side. Port forwarding is switched off (I use the default 5006 port). On the Synology side no packages have been updated, lately. But Zettel Notes had an update, I believe. Reinstalling the app did not have any effect.

No other Android app has this behaviour: DavX and CXExplorer, to name a few, have normal access to the same WebDAV folder.

Does anyone else experience the same problem? Thanks!

Hey,

Is this issue resolved or are you still facing this ? I didn't change WebDAV code in the latest update. If possible, can you share the server connection logs with zettel notes.

I also face same problem. I was able to sync to my Synology Station through WEBDAV port 5005 before, but now it keeps failed, same 403 errors. I'm sure my username/password and link of WEBDAV is correct, because other android apps such as CXExplorer is ok using WEBDAV with same certification and link. 

I seems to happen after recent notes update. I didnt do any other update on my Synology. 

Reinstalling notes didnt help. I also tried on other android devices, same error.

I just make a small test, I revert back to version 2.7.1, the WEBDAV sync function works. If i update to 2.7.3 then WEBDAV got 403 errors.

Thank you. I also made a small donation and purchased 1 plugin to support your work. It's really an awesome app which solves my problem of syncing notes between Mac and Android devices.

Sorry for my late response.

Yes, the issue persists. For now I have moved to Cx File Explorer WebDAV access + Markor, as these keep working reliably. I really cannot miss my notesm, and as I also edit them a lot on my laptop it is not an option to work without sync.
I might try Zettel Notes again when you find and solve the problem.

I have pushed a new update v.2.7.5. Please try the new update and see if this fixes the WebDAV synchronization issue.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks! The update has enabled synchronisation of my Synology DiskStation WebDAV folder with my phone again!
No errors so far.
