android intent to trigger sync?

I am glad to find this tool working great on android devices. I have a repo pointed to a local device folder which is then sync with another device using syncthing. When new changes are made externally the app won't immediately pick them up because there is at least 15 minutes wait for the next background sync.

I think being able to sync on demand by sending the app an intent from automation apps such as tasker will be a great feature. And I think it shouldn't be a big one because the background sync is already in place.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Hey,

I guess you are confusion background synchronization and scanning by Zettel Notes. In your case, synchronization with remote device is done via syncthing, maybe you are talking about background scanning. Is this correct?

yes i meant zettel notes own background scanning. currently the configuration only allows background sync in time interval, every 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. but it will be great if i can trigger it on demand upon receiving a specific android intent or better yet by adding start sync command to the existing tasker plugin for zettel notes.

There seems to be a character limit for sending selected text to a new or existing not via the context menu on Android.   For long articles and such I am now copying the selection, manually creating a note and pasting the content.  By passing my favorite znote feature.   To me it's the stand out feature separating zettle from obsidian.  I hope we can figure out what the problem might be

Regarding the character limit issue, can you share any reference article or a short video as a reference.
