The application size of this app increased from 26 MB to 70 MB. Why? How to solve this problem?

1. (Previously, the first time installation)

I installed Zettel Notes.

After the installation, the application size of this app was about 26 MB.

Note: The application size can be found in "Settings" (of Android phone) > "Application" > "Zettel Notes" > "Storage Space" > "Application Size".

I created a new repository, and select a folder in SD card to be the root folder of that repository, and set synchronization of that repository with Dropbox.

Several days later (or maybe one day later?) the application size of this app increased to 70 MB. Please note that it was the application size (not user data or cache) that increased. I did not know what caused this phenomenon.

Therefore, I uninstalled this app and then installed it again.

2. (Currently, the second time installation)

After the installation, the application size of this app was about 26 MB, similar to the first time.

I created a new repository, and select a folder in SD card to be the root folder of that repository. This time I did not set synchronization.

One day later the application size of this app increased to 70.16 MB, similar to the first time. Please see the following attached image:

Please note that it was the application size (not user data or cache) that increased. I did not know what caused this phenomenon.

Does anyone know why the application size of this app increased from 26 MB to 70 MB?

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hey,

Storage Manager in Zettel Notes lists the files along with space used by them. You can access it via Zettel Notes > Settings > Misc > Storage Manager. Can you compare the two states (first install - 26 MB and second - 70 MB), in storage manager.

Just to clarify, the two states (26 MB and 70 MB) belong to the same installation. They did not belong to different installations.

Thanks for sharing the pic. Are you using Zettel Notes plugins? This can increase the app size after install.

No, I am not using any Zettel Notes plugin.

Then, it must be related to the way android handles the app. As you can confirm from storage manager, the size increase is not due to cache files or data.
