Hi. I'm able to get just about everything working nicely setting up a repository using git support with zettel notes. I just clone the repo on my Mac and point Obsidian at it and things work well. Except one little thing which I hope someone can suggest a way of dealing with. Image attachments work from zettel notes to obsidian but if I want to place an image in obsidian, I have it set to use an attachments directory at the root of the vault. Zettel Notes seems to have trouble with this. What I see is obsidian does not include the full path to the attachment folder. How do others setup zettel notes with image attachments? I enjoy placing images in daily journals I write and go back then edit the file later in the day on obsidian on my mac.

Really like zettel notes more on android than the obsidian mobile app.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hey,

Thank you for the kind words. I would suggest to keep images along with notes. This works with both obsidian and Zettel Notes.

Regards,
Rohit

I just wanted to follow up with this in case people are looking for alternatives to using Obsidian. I found this very nice app called Tangent Notes. You can find it here
https://www.tangentnotes.com/.  The app is available on Linux, Windows, MAC. I use the MAC version. The app is a lot of fun to use and is being actively developed. Check it out if you want an alternative. One minor thing is using images if the images are placed in the same directory as the note. I need to include two dots before the image URL  and then it all works well. I am not sure why this is but once I do that, everything works so nicely. I have used it with git and now with google drive sync that's included with ZN. It would be great if the developers on both could work together. It just seems tangent is a natural fit for Zettel Notes.

I am using OneDrive for both ZN and Obsidian. Obsidian does not like OneDrive sync of folders, so I actually access my OneDrive via a webdav share on my home NAS (mapped to drive S:synology), and access the same webdav for ZN. If you have a webdav store, you can just use both for a notes folder.
