Here's a few "memory bullets" that will need to be filled in later when I have time. I believe the first night of the New Mexico road trip we camped at this crazy park and we arrived at night. Seems to me we were revving Nate's auto up to ramming speed and offroading through the bush to get to our kick ass camping sight. Does anyone else remember setting up camp and cooking in the dark? I can't remember what we ate. This was my first time in the desert and I was really digging the vegetation, especially since we had some good marijuana. The sky was magnifico as well out there. Seems to me the place was called Elephant Something Park. Please correct me.

I remember having the best Huevos Rancheros of my life at an outdoor cafe in Santa Fe. Also, Chris playing piano at the art museum.

We saw Elvin Jones play in Albaturkey. Chris was noticeably not impressed by the performance but I dug it. Granted, his total ensemble was not the most impressive ever witnessed but Jones himself was in fine form. Nobody sounds like Elvin Jones.

We saw some thugs force a woman into a car when we were walking down the street in Albaturkey.

We went to Natural Sound record store located at 3422 Central SE and I bought David Lindley El Rayo-X for $11.97 (sticker's still on it). Also, I bought an Allen Ginsberg record, a David Allen Coe record, and a Jack Dejonette CD and a John Zorn CD.

We went clothes shopping at some trendy used clothing store (I think also on Central) and Chris was prancing around trying on shitloads of stuff and convincing me that he's totally gay.

We went skinny dipping in a puddle in the middle of the woods and Daniel Boon (with buckskins and bow and arrow) and his wife came walking by.

We climbed around on some weird rock formation that same afternoon.

The cute blonde in the gift shop at White Sands was from Oshkosh.

Rock Hound park was really fucking cool except that I remember being freaked out by the warnings about rattle snakes. That place was magical though, although adding to the magic was marijuana that Chris and I smoked after climbing the "huge rubble" pile at the base of the mountain. The climb back down was a little hairy due to the slight alteration of perception and the rattle snakes etc.

That's it for now.

The Woman being forced into the car by thugs wa on Route 66, obviously
there were some kicks involved, I also seem to remember a distinct
lack of comlete clothing.

I believe the first night was spent sleeping under the stars and we
woke up pretty damb cold. It was next to some large man-made (?)
water hole.

What cute blond from Oshkosh, I would certainly remember that, but it
is completely gone from my brain.

Also when in Santa Fe we went to the Georgia O'Keefe museum and it was
closed, so we posed for a picture and I recal being inverted between
an univerted Nathan and Zack. Does that ring a bell? Who has that
picture. Time to post some pics!!!
