I watched the first TROM some time ago, and I don't know who is the group who created it
, but the audio was done very poorly -- first the computer generated human voice was not very clear, but the bigger problem was music -- especially when they present the "solution". It was louder than the voice itself, and if Fresco was talking it was almost impossible to follow.
Be Aware : There are grammar and editing errors in the documentary... I am working towards an improved version > TROM 2.0
So subtitles distributed with it would really help :) The only problem is the sheer size of it :)But if the voice is really computer generated they should have the script
and also the time for each word,
1. This is NOT a Linguistic Team project. 12+ hours worth of video is WAY
too much to bring into the LingTeam and expect much else to get done, so
Trom cannot be viewed or treated as an official LT project. Please do not
promote the Trom project in your LT meetings. If we are successful at
activating a good amount of the people who volunteered to help with ZMF and
enough of them actually stick around for a while, this may change.
2. I am, indeed, the one uploading these into dotSUB as they become
available and Universal Subtitles will not be used this time around.. I am
providing the project with administrative support.
3. Transcription, proofreading & translation coordination is being handled
by Kevin, while Tio continues to fill the role of 'Diabolical Mastermind".
4. Right now, Tio is redoing the original transcriptions (and subsequently,
the videos) to bring the project up to date with what has been learned since
its original release. They are initially using the computer voices to get
them back up so the translation volunteers can get back in and play with
them.
5. Once the videos are completed, uploaded and open to the group, Kevin will
turn his focus on putting together the voice-over/dubbing team. The
resulting dubbed versions will eventually replace the ones at Tromsite, not
in the dotSUB working locations.
6. Again, this is not a Linguistic Team project. We still have far too many
very important items to get into the public consciousness before we can turn
our attention to something this huge, so please do not promote it within the
Linguistic Team community.
Warm Regards,
Ray (Gman)

The underlying transcriptions are being adjusted to new &/or additional
info, put through group proofreading and then being used to remake the
individual videos. None of the existing Trom 1.0 videos (or their
translations) will survive the process, although many parts of them may
still be valid for a Copy/Paste approach (sans timestamps).
Warm Regards,

I'll make sure that Tio is aware of the music volume issue.
