Hello Zmbackup users and happy 2018!

After two months in silence, the development is back again. This year I planned things to do with the project, so I think is valid to communicate here what will happens.

  1. Release Zmbackup 1.2.0: This is something I have plans to release before the end of January, so I need to run with all the fix. I received a lot of feed backs that in CentOS 6 the software isn`t working correctly, but no problems in other OS, so in the next weeks a lot of patchs will be released only for this OS. Have problems in other OS or Zimbra version? Post here or open an issue in Github with all the details about the bug you found in 1.2.0 Release Candidate;
  2. Documentation: This is the most critical, but I have plans to start and finish the documentation before April. Let me be frank with you: I didn`t wrote a single page about this aside from the README.md. At the begin this was sufficient, but now there are so much new features that this is not a solution anymore. Want to help? When this step start I will be let you guys know and what I will need help;
  3. Webpage Admin for Zmbackup and full support to other SQL databases: I have plans to end the support to the sessions.txt for a long time, and this year is a great opportunity to complete this. If the sessions.txt is marked and deprecated, the next step is create a Webpage Admin for Zmbackup to manage every aspect of Zmbackup without need to enter inside the server through SSH;
  4. Open Zmbackup to the community: Yes, this is a step I want to achieve this year: everybody editing the code and include new features or bug fix. After the documentation is completed, I will explain how this will work and what you can do to help in the project
That's all for now! Thanks for your support and see you next week!

Regards,
