Entrepreneurial Case Studies: 

Comparing Market Opportunities in China and the US

Three seasoned entrepreneurs and investors from the IT, biotech and automobile industries in the US and China will share their views on:

  • An overview of China market potential and five-year trends:

o   What's legitimate and what's a bubble? How is China different from the US?

  • How to identify Chinese consumers' unmet needs: 

o   Is China ready for your product?  What makes a US import work in China?

  • How to enter the Chinese market: 

o   What's the optimal timing and placement for a new product launch? How do you educate the Chinese consumer?

Jun Wu

Vice President, Global Account Delivery Services Group, iSoftStone Information Technology (Group)

iSoftStone is a leading China-based IT service provider, serving both Greater China and Global clients and successfully went IPO in NYSE in 2010.

 

Wei Li

Principal, Fidelity Biosciences

Mr. Li has been leading Fidelity Biosciences investment activities in China since 2005, and serves on the Board of Directors of TCT Medical (英硕力) and Innovent Biologics.

 

John Wang

Founder and CEO of Dreamech, Inc.

Mr. Wang has 18 years of product design experience with multiple patents being applied to GM, Ford and Chrysler automobiles.  Since 2008 he has played critical roles in several start-ups in China.  Early this year he launched Dreamech, a start-up company in the US providing technology service to connect car owners and their cars to the internet for expert and personalized auto service.
