not installing sudo gem install derailed-ziya?

I tried to install this plugin on a new mac and the 2.1.5 version that
installs just hangs for me when I start my dev webserver.

I installed version 2.1.0 and it works fine.

Am I missing something with the new version that I need to do
something different?

Never mind; found the thread that spoke about the issue with the
logging gem.
